20 under 20 award
20 under 20 is an award that recognizes kids under 20 years old that have done exceptional community service and features them in their latest magazine issue. When I was 11, I was nominated by my school's community service director and was the youngest award winner for my year. Kicks for a Kause was mentioned in Atlanta Intown Magazine and I was featured on the cover along with the other award winners and it was a huge honor. I appreciate everything that the community has done to support me through this process and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to raise more awareness through this magazine.
Kohl's Cares Award
I was nominated by a family friend for this award that recognizes students who do great community service. Kohl's Cares is a scholarship program that recognizes kids across the country who have started an organization or charity to help other people. For this award they had a winner for each Kohl's store across the country and I was lucky enough to be chosen as a store round winner. It was such an honor to receive this award and I am so grateful for the recognition that Kicks for a Kause and I have gotten through this experience.
